How we started, and what is our goal...
Hi! My name is Carla, I'm a Child Passenger Safety Technician located in Schenectady, New York.
I'm a mom of two young girls and married to my awesome husband! When I'm not chasing a toddler or cleaning/installing a car seat, you can find me at Starbucks!
I became a CPST in 2022, I was working at the Starbucks drive thru and realized just how many people had something wrong with their car seat, or their kid in the wrong seat. I wanted to become more educated on car seats and be able to offer that education to others, so I decided to sign up for my local course! Over the past year and some change, I've been to multiple car seat checks and I try to be active on social media too.
After a long day of taking care of my girls and in the trenches of the newborn phase with 2 under 2, I realized how little support we get through parenthood. Something that came up in my mind was my toddlers car seat and I wished that someone could clean it for me. There, Sudsy Seats was born!
If I wanted that assistance, wouldn't others as well?
I realized I could help parents in two ways, by making sure their kiddo's were riding safe, and helping them with the daunting task that is car seat cleaning.
